Some compositions come together right away. This one took a little longer. I first wrote it back in 2013, but I was still getting things figured out as a composer, and I wound up with a rather clunky piece. There were accompaniments that didn't make much sense pianistically (difficult to play without enhancing the piece at all), some sections rambled on unfocusedly and didn't have much sense of direction, and some sections didn't have the right proportion when compared with others. Taking a look at it earlier this year, I decided it needed some revision and went through it with a fine-toothed comb. After I finished working on it, it went from a piece that I always felt rather dissatisfied with to one that I felt very pleased with. I hope you enjoy it too!
