He used these talents by the age of 30 to begin a prolific career as a composer, primarily of instrumental music. Many of his works are still exciting and fun to play even today. His influence helped create the instrumental styles used in orchestras today. He sadly died too young at age 55.
This quintet arrangement of Bal makes a nice pleasant work that shows off any brass quintet.
