Gertl Jahns, in feite een geliefd Nederlands hafacomponist, schreef dit Latijns-amerikaans getint stukje voor harmonie- of fanfareorkest. Het is zelfs geschikt voor drumfanfare. De 'Bajon' is een typische Braziliaanse volksdans, wat de ingrediënten als exotiek en ritme ten volle verantwoordt. Gertl Jahns is in fact a well-known Dutch wind band music composer. He wrote this litle Latin-American sounding piece for wind band and was inspired by the 'Bajon', a typical Brazilian folkdance tune.
