Badinerie Op.32a is an almost note-for-note arrangement of a movement from Duarte’s 1956 Concertante Quartet and was planned to be part of a five-movement Suite française for the Presti/Lagoya duo. Of the proposed movements, we only have two, with one movement being presumed lost and the other two unwritten. When the Athenian Guitar Duo visited in 1967, Duarte gave them copies of everything he had written for two guitars; this did not include Badinerie.
La Badinerie Op.32a est un arrangement presque note pour note d’un mouvement du Quatuor Concertante de Duarte de 1956 et devait faire partie d’une Suite française en cinq mouvements pour le duo Presti/Lagoya. Des mouvements proposés, nous n’en avons que deux, l’un étant présumé perdu et les deux autres non écrits. Lorsque le duo de guitares athéniennes est venu leur rendre visite en 1967, Duarte leur a donné des copies de tout ce qu’il avait écrit pour deux guitares ; cela n’incluait pas la Badinerie.
