It debuted at a housewarming party, and he sang to his wife, as a cue for guests to leave. Everyone loved it and he was invited to many parties to sing it after that. It became popular in 1949 when it was used in the film "Neptune's Daughter". The song was recorded by many artists including Dean Martin and Ella Fitzgerald. More recently it was made popular again by a recording by Michael Buble and Idina Menzel where the lyrics were changed a bit to make it more family appropriate. (See Youtube video with kids). The original lyrics were used in one scene in the movie "Elf". This piano version is for Piano Duet (1 keyboard, 4 hands) and arranged for the easier end of advanced intermediate. Whereas the secondo part is this level, the primo part is easier, mainly melody in both hands, with harmony in L.H. (during interlude) and a few chords. Lyrics (from Buble video) are included in the score in this version. Perfect for winter recitals, having fun at home when you're snowed in, or entertaining. Arranged by Amy J. Snyder.
