By Ed Sheeran. By Ed Sheeran. Arranged by Simon James. This edition: pdf. Contemporary, Pop, Singer/Songwriter. 11 pages. DML #1453606. Published by DML (A0.1895124).
These arrangements are for performance and are very precise. Although chord symbols are given they are only an indication of the underlying harmony and will not necessarily make a good accompaniment by themselves. They all require a degree of skill, some more than others, but I hope you will feel they are worth your perseverance.
This arrangement is based on Ed Sheeran’s guitar part but is not note for note. The guitar accompaniment has been adapted to suit one guitar and made consistent so that each verse/chorus is arranged in the same way. Because Ed Sheeran sings the two verses with considerable differences in the melody I have given them without repeats and as close as possible to what he sings though there are some decorations not transcribed. The key, for the guitarist, is G/E minor but Ed Sheeran plays it with a capo on the second fret making it A/F# minor should you wish to follow the original recordings.
