The music follows the steam train as it speeds up and slows down, and is based on the old (19th century) German song called "Auf de Schwäb'sche Eisebahne" (On the Swabian railway) which relates all the stations which the train calls at - a sort of upbeat alternative to Flanders and Swan's song "The slow train" ;-)).
