At Last Piano/Vocal/Guitar by Etta James Small Ensemble - Sheet Music

By Harry Warren

Harry Warren (music) and Mack Gordon (lyrics) originally wrote At Last for a 1942 movie musical, in which it was played by Glenn Miller and His Orchestra. Glenn Miller enjoyed a Top 10 hit single with the song that same year, but it wasn't until nearly 20 years later that R&B singer Etta James immortalized the song with her bluesy signature rendition that remains popular to this day. At Last has since been covered by countless celebrity entertainers, is featured in high-profile motion picture and television productions, and is a perennial favorite at wedding receptions and all manner of romantic occasions. This piano/vocal sheet music arrangement captures the style of the famous Etta James recording, and sounds great either as accompaniment to a vocalist or as a piano solo. Basic guitar chord grids are also included.

A statement on the transcription of 'At Last'

Jazz and the Blues are the hardest to transcribe, as there are so many improvisations in each individual performance, but this sheet music focused on the basics and kept it simple. A little too simple, at times, as I used the recording to fill in what I felt was missing, but overall this sheet music helped me to learn and rediscover a classic.
