José Alamá Gil werd in 1979 dirigent van de Banda del Centre Artistic Musical de Bétera waarmee hij heel wat prijzen in de wacht sleepte. Zijn tweedelig concertwerk 'Aspectes' werd met succes tijdens het befaamde Certamen in Valencia in 1998 uitgevoerd. Het eerste deel, 'Antigua danza de palas y planchas' (oude stokken en bordendans) gaat na een inleidend adagio over in een vlot allegretto dat wat later door een rustig adagio onderbroken wordt. Het tweede deel heet 'La Romeria' (de pelgrimstocht) en begint met een stuwend allegro vivo waarop een meer lyrisch andante volgt dat door klokkengelui wordt ingeleid. Nadien herneemt het stuwende allegro vivo wanneer de pelgrims de terugtocht aanvatten.Het werk is rijk georkestreerd en klinkt bijzonder goed. Een heel mooi melodieus concertwerk voor groot harmonieorkest.

José Alamá Gil became musical director of the Banda del Centre Artistic Musical de Bétera in 1979 and has won many awards with this fine symphonic band. His two part concert piece for symphonic band 'Aspectes' was very successful at the 1998 international contest 'Certamen' at Valencia. The first part 'Antigua danza de palas y planchas' (old dance with sticks and plates) starts with an introductory adagio followed by a lively allegretto interrupted by another quiet adagio. The second part 'La Romeria' (the pilgrimage ) starts with a dynamic allegro vivo followed by a lyrical andante introduced by bell ringing.The driving allegro vivo starts again when the pilgrims start their journey back home. The orchestration is strikingly refined. This is a very beautiful melodic concert piece for symphonic band.

José Alamá Gil devint en 1979 chef d'orchestre de la Banda del Centre Artistic Musical de Bétera et il a obtenu de nombreux succès avec cet orchestre depuis. Sa composition en deux parties 'Aspectes' (Aspects) a connu un grand succès lors du concours international 'Certamen' à Valencia en 1998. La première partie 'Antigua danza de palas y planchas' (ancienne danse avec bâtons et assiettes) débute par un adagio d'introduction, suivi d'un allegretto fluide, interrompu ultérieurement par un autre adagio reposant. La deuxième partie 'La Romeria' (le pèlerinage) débute par un allegro vivo dynamique, suivi d'un andante lyrique introduit par le son des cloches. Puis, l'énergique allégro vivo reprend lorsque les pèlerins entament le chemin du retour. Grâce à sa riche orchestration, cette mélodieuse composition est impressionnante et captivante. Sein Konzertstück in zwei Teilen 'Aspectes' war sehr erfolgreich beim internationalen Wettbewerb 'Certamen de Bandas' in Valencia 1998. Der erste Teil 'Antigua danza de palas y planchas' (alter Tanz mit Stöcken und Tellern) fängt mit einem einleitenden Adagio ein und nachher gibt es ein gewandtes Allegretto das dann wieder von einem ruhigen Adagio unterbrochen wird. Der zweite Teil 'La Romeria' (die Wallfahrt) fängt mit einem dynamischen Allegro Vivo an; dann gibt es ein lyrisches Andante das von Glockenklängen eingeleitet wird. Nachher gibt es wieder ein dynamisches Allegro Vivo wenn die Wallfahrer wieder nach Hause zurückkehren. Das Stück ist reich instrumentiert und klingt ganz gut. Ein sehr schönes melodisches Konzertwerk für Sinfonisches Blasorchester.
