Deze compositie is geïnspireerd op het gedicht van Ferreira de Castro, een inwoner van Vale de Cambra, over de stad. De gehele structuur van de compositie is opgebouwd rond het gedicht. The morning is a miracle, every day there is a miracle of light upon the earth when the sun rises in Vale de Cambra'.

Artis Calambria was commissioned and premiered in August 2011 by the Band of Vale de Cambra (Portugal), conducted by Gil Magalhães, on the occasion of its centennial. The work took as its starting point the poem of the poet Ferreira de Castro, a native of Vale de Cambra, about the city. The whole structure of the work was designed from the poem. Vale de Cambra is also known for its metal industry. The choice of some of the percussion instruments used in the work also had this aspect into account. Cette composition est inspirée d’un poème de Ferreiro de Castro, habitant de Vale de Cambra, sur la ville.Toute la structure de la composition est construite autour du poème. Vale de Cambra est connue pour sa métallurgie. On l’entend dans l’utilisation des différents instruments de percussion.

Der Komponist wurde durch das Gedicht von Ferreira de Castro, einem Einwohner von Vale de Cambria, über die Stadt inspiriert. Die ganze Struktur wurde rund um das Gedicht aufgebaut. Vale de Cambria steht bekannt um seine Metallindustrie. Das kann man an der Verwendung der unterschiedlichen Perkussionsinstrumente hören.
