Brilliantly Creative
Not unlike Modest Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, this two-piano piece conveys moods, scenes and characters from the mystery novel Arrested Flight. The musical studies vary from the humorous, when Mr. Chamberlin portrays the flights of fairies, to the dramatic closing study of flight and freedom. Lily's Song is a sweet, loving portrayal of the young teenaged girl in the book. Incredible portrayals that nudge you to think about the segments in the book and add to the mystery. Incredibly creative.
