Difficult, but good arrangements
I play piano mostly for church offertories and play around moderately advanced level. I got this book to have some challenging music to work on... and it's definitely that! Most the arrangements in Arise My Soul Arise will need plenty of work; but when you've mastered a piece, it's rewarding! I like most the songs; they're good, meaningful pieces. I quickly discovered that the music requires a good amount of skill; there are hand crosses and some runs that can be pretty tricky for me. 'Tis so Sweet has a part with the hands running up and down while carrying the melody that will definitely take a while for me to master! But it's rewarding when you've practiced a grand piece and you finally have it down and you can use it. If you have time and patience to work at some more challenging music, I would recommend this book.
