This Broadway hit from 1921 has been arranged for lever harp accompanying the vocal line. The original song was first performed and recorded by Al Jolson, and since then by many other artists, including Judy Garland, Mel Torme, Frank Sinatra, and Bing Crosby. The optimistic message is carried on an interesting melody whose chromaticisms make it difficult to play on the lever harp, but the accompaniment presented here is very playable! Only three levers require shifting during the entire piece, with plenty of time allowed. The right hand is fairly straightforward and has no accidentals. The harp must be tuned with at least one flat (B flats are required). The vocal range is suitable for most voices, going from B natural to D (just over an octave).
