"Apres un Reve" is the most famous French art song by Gabriel Urbain Faure. This sheet music also includes the original Tuscan text, Romain Bussine's French, and the original English parody by Adrien (often misspelled as Adrian) Ross (pseudonym of Arthur Reed Ropes).
Huffman's English stays close to the French text (helping non-French speakers to understand the French and its linguistic relationship to the music) while being beautiful enough for concert performance. Apres Un Reve
This particular edition of this piece is published for voice and piano, however, I purchased this sheet music to play it on my tenor sax. It is an excellent edition in that the notation is fairly large and very sharp and clear. For voice, it is interesting in that the lyrics are in English, French and Tuscan.I feel the price of the sheet music was well worth the price.I can't speak to the level of difficulty of the piano accompaniment.
