The lyrics give a cozy feeling of making and eating an apple pie from rolling the dough, to serving a slice a la mode!
The tempo might look fast at 140-160. However, with the nature of the song, this tempo will not be a hard task for students to play!
You’ll notice the song is set in, what I call, C-D position with the thumbs sitting on the middle C and D keys respectively. With this, the left hand thumb will play Middle C, and the right hand will play D-E-F-G-A, like a D Minor 5-Finger scale.
The song is longer for beginners at 32 measures. You are welcome to shorten the song and end it at measure 16.
There are two versions of the song you can use with students:
- Version 1 with regular note heads.
- Version 2 with alpha note heads.
