Apple Hymn Concert Band - Sheet Music

A piece comprising two contrasting themes structured in A-B-A format. The first theme is fanfare-style and characterised strongly by the fourth intervals present in the melody. These are then re-employed for the harmonization of the theme during the repeat and accompanied by rhythmic obstinate from the percussion and bass sections. The second theme is more lyrical and characterised by the same intervals of the horn in measure #8. A strong final closing by tutti reiterates the majestic splendour of the piece. The title pays homage to the apple and the Val di Non area in the Trentino region which is both a renowned production area for this fruit as well as being the birthplace of the composer
