Presented by the production company Jungle Jam, the musical is a retelling of the nativity story by Jungle Jam’s narrator, with the help of Gruffy Bear, and other Jungle Jam characters such as: Cheetah Bonita, her sisters Anita and Sally, and Max the Giraffe. Other biblical characters included are the three shepherds, Herod (mistaken by one of the shepherds as Kevin Herod who used to ‘live in the neighbourhood’), the Innkeeper, and the three wise men Melchior, Gaspar and Binky (a wise man in training) and of course Joseph and Mary. Anywhere He Is is sung by Mary at the crib.
Anywhere He Is is a beautiful song full of loving sentiment, and this arrangement for SSA and piano accompaniment is full of lovely harmonies that are both simple and reflective, making it an ideal addition to any choirs end of year holiday concert.
