This new composition uses the text from the Catholic Anima Christi Prayer which is usually prayed after the reception of communion. It can also be used on Holy Thursday. The piece is meant to be played and sung with a sense of longing. Singers should sing in a clear tone voice. Organ should use a single stop which does not over power the choir. Retardandos can be taken at the end of phrases if the Chior director feels space is needed. The D.C. al fine can be omitted if needed.
