Composed by Julies Massenet. Arranged by Francesco Buono. Classical. Score and parts. 57 pages. Francesco Buono #339021. Published by Francesco Buono (A0.730765).
Suite for orchestra n. 4 "Scènes Pittoresques" Scènes Pittoresques, the fourth and best known of Massenet's seven orchestral suites, stands out for its four unrelated but perfectly matched subjects; dedicated to his composer friend Émile Paladilhe, it was performed in Paris in 1874 by the Edouard Colonne Orchestra. "Angelus", the third movement, the largest of the suite, has the character of a hymn evoking the atmosphere of a French cathedral. Transcription for Symphonic band.
