William Garnet James OBE (28 August 1892 – 10 March 1977) was an Australian pianist and composer and a pioneer of music broadcasting in Australia - his fifteen Christmas carols, dating from the 1940s are his enduring legacy and James Curnow's suite, created in 1990, brings out more of their character, now arranged freshly for concert band.
