American Overture For Band - Full Score Concert Band - Sheet Music

Theodore Presser published this repertoire standard in Critical Edition, marking its 50th anniversary. Unlike most critical editions, however, this one was supervised by the composer himself. The set includes a full score, and corrects and revises dynamics, articulations, and pitches - all exactly as the composer intended. A true "urtext" in every sense of the word.

American Overture

This is a great, memorable piece. I played it in high school and college bands. It one of the pieces that inspired me to try to write a piece of my own. (I had only moderate success. :) )
