There is very little music available for this instrumentation which is unfortunate as the two combine beautifully, both in traditional and contemporary settings.
The Great Highland bagpipe chanter tunes to a scale of 9 notes from low G to high A, A tuned to a tonic of around 470-480Hz, as compared to western music A4 of 440Hz. It is therefore necessary to play a Bb bagpipe chanter when playing this arrangement.
