Derek Hasted writes "This is a very accessible and very powerful arrangement of the famous "Is This The Way To Amarillo", made famous by Tony Christie, and later reworked by English Comedian Peter Kay as a Christie/Kay partnership for the TV show "Phoenix Nights" and the charity fund-raiser "Comic Relief".
Ideal for a mixed ability quintet, or better still, a large ensemble.
Guitar 5 is presented in treble and bass clefs - you can use either or both in your performances.
Audiences love this piece - it was once played by Hampshire Guitar Orchestra, and the audience were always keen to join in with the two claps, and never quite seemed to get the right moment!
Great for school concerts, intermediate adult ensembles or even a concert encore - it has strength, pulse and audience appeal!
