Composed by Irving Berlin. Arranged by Thomas Degan. This edition: pdf. 20th Century, A Cappella, Jazz, Show Choir, Standards. 3 pages. Thomas Degan #1223372. Published by Thomas Degan (A0.1656958)."Always" is a popular song written by Irving Berlin in 1925, as a wedding gift for his wife Ellin Mackay, whom he married in 1926. Thematically, it serves as a sequel to Berlin's earlier song "When I Lost You," which pertained to the death of his first wife Dorothy.
This is a beautiful SATB acapella arrangment. In an effort to keep it simple, it does not include the pre-chorus and has been lowered a half step from it's traditional Ab to G to accommodate a lower soprano.
