Alleluia! Sing to Jesus (Easy Violin and Cello Duet with Piano Accompaniment)
Here is an instrumental trio (for VIOLIN and CELLO with PIANO accompaniment) of the encouraging hymn tune HYFRYDOL by Rowland Hugh Prichard. The CELLO plays the melody for the first phrase followed by the VIOLIN on the second phrase. Then the VIOLIN leads with the melody for the rest of the verse while the CELLO provides harmony. An optional repeat is included for flexibility in performance length.
The range for each string part is as follows: VIOLIN ~ G4 to E5; CELLO ~ B2 to D4. All notes for both the VIOLIN and CELLO are playable in the first position making this arrangement an excellent choice for beginning string players. The PIANO accompaniment is written for an intermediate player.
