I composed "Alleluia, Amen" principally as an Easter anthem. However, it works well in any liturgical setting where glorious praise is emphasized such as at offertory, prelude and postlude. Where instruments are available, timpani, trumpets and french horns could be added. This is also very suitable in a school or civic chorus concert venue. It really starts with a "BANG!".

Alleluia, Amen - John O. Sullivan
This piece harkens to a bit of Handel (Worthy is the Lamb from the MESSIAH), a touch of Mozart, and Beethoven (the opening of Hallelujah from MOUNT OF OLIVES) with grandeur and energy-- and a lot less work for the choir. This is one of those impressive sounding pieces that should be more difficult than it actually is. Addition of strings, perhaps a trumpet, would enhance the performance, and the majesty will increase with a good pipe organ if it's available.
