Charles Price Jones was an African American pastor and hymnist born in Rome, Georgia. He lived from the early 19th Centruy to the early 20th Century and was involved greatly in the Holiness movement. Sections A and C are the verse. Sections B and D are the chorus. A modulation to a new key occurs betwen sections B and C with the aid of an Italian augmented sixth chord. A descant is then added by yours truly.
