Arranged for mountain dulcimer in standard DAd (1-5-8) tuning. No extra frets are required, although the 1+ is useful in one measure if you care to play the D7 for extra flavor.
Suggested skill level is for Early Intermediate and above. However, this is such a well known folk song that it can be achievable for almost any level of player if you stretch a little. It's one of those times where the axiom, "if you can sing it, you can play it" really applies.
The tablature is only 2 pages long and constitutes the chorus of the song. The remainder of the pages are the complete verses and spoken lyrics as Arlo tells the whole story of his littering charge and later draft board encounter.
