I have never been fond of adult methods, because most of them don’t work with average adults. This course provides ample material to reinforce each new skill so that the student actually experiences progress. At the same time, the music is pleasing to play. Early use of chords impresses friends. My only complaint is that this course doesn’t lead directly into one of the other courses like most of the Alfred courses do. If the student wants to continue beyond level 2 of Play Piano Now, you have to use the Alfred Basic Adult Course, but start in the middle of Level 2 and then continue through level 3. It works fine, but many students dislike starting in the middle of a level. Except for this glitch, the course is excellent, one that I love to use. You will too.
