I was inspired to write this arrangement of “Alfie” by the recording with Joss Stone on the album “Alfie - music from the motion picture”. Some passages are a bit similar to the Hammond organ accompaniment, although the original recording is much more soulful and less rubato than this choral arrangement.
The sound can therefore be very detached from the studio recording. The soloist's melody lines can of course be freely interpreted, but you should pay attention to when the melody is doubled in the choir parts.
