Na 'Beauty and the Beast' kwamen de Walt Disney Studios eind 1993 weer met een kassasucces op de proppen. Aladdin was natuurlijk geïnspireerd door het bekende sprookje uit de evergreen verzameling 'Duizend-en-Eén-Nacht'. De producers kenden blijkbaar de spreuk 'never give up a winning horse' en deden weer een beroep op de componisten Menken en Ashman. In deze vlotte selectie door huisarrangeur Willy Hautvast herkent u achtereenvolgens 'Arabian Nights', 'Friend likeMe', 'One Jump ahead', de populaire titelsong 'A Whole New World' en tot slot 'Prince Ali'.

'Aladdin' was of course inspired by the famous fairy tale from the eternal evergreen collection 'Thousandand one Nights'. The producers, well aware of the saying 'never give up a winning horse', once more invited the composers Menken andAshmantowrite the sound-trackmusic. In this most enjoyable selection, made by Willy Hautvast, you will recognize succesively 'Arabian Nights', 'Friend likeMe', 'One Jump ahead', the popular title song 'A Whole New World' and finally 'Prince Ali'.

Aladdin est, bien sûr, inspiré par le célèbre conte extrait des 'Mille et Une Nuits', le grand classique de la littérature de rêve.
