Composed by Henry Uche; Uzowulu-Ezenwa. Arranged by Henry Uche; Uzowulu-Ezenwa. This edition: pdf. 21st Century, Contemporary, Folk, Multicultural, Traditional, World. Full Orchestra. 48 pages. Greathenz #1155257. Published by Greathenz (A0.1661141).

An intercultural music fusing Western symphonic with African instruments.

Tonality: Dmajor, Bminor
Form: Unitary
Metrics: Multi-metric
Instrumentation: orchestra (classical and indigenous African)

The story is crafted to capture the typical modern-day setting in the African soil where a virgin was mysteriously impregnated.

The composer explores advanced fusions of concepts, ideas, theories, and styles from both Africa and the West in the composition.

The composition is a historical analogy of the indigenous African values and norms versus the West. Section 1 introduces the scene of a core indigenous African scene by the marimba. The Western or orchestra asserts it presence on the indigenous ideology.

Section 2 creates a summary of the identity of the cast (Ajulu) who was the only virgin adored by her people. The Oboe interprets this section.

Section 3 depicts the scene of disappointment occasioned by the sudden revelation of Ajulu's mysterious pregnancy while it was still discovered that she was a virgin with child.

Section 4 is the agony of Ajulu; her cry of disappointment and disbelieve that she is a Virgin with child.

Section 5 is the announcing of the intent to marry Ajulu by the man responsible for her ordeal. He explained that Ajulu got pregnant innocently by artificial insemination.

Overall, you feel serenity, anarchy, fanfare etc exemplified in the music.
