A short but pleasant piece
I did not want this for singing but transcribed it for viola. There are a number of couplets which transcribe well and if you know the opera Eugen Onegin then you will recognise the humour of Triquety serenading Tatiana on her birthday..There are other opera with similar pieces, I can thonk of King of the Beoetians from Orpheus by Offenbach and that is the next I will take in hand
