THE ORIGINAL AND THE BEST!
There are so many knock-offs of Hall Johnson's original Spiritual that most conductors no longer know which version is Hall Johnson's original creation. Johnson's intentions are only realized with this version as the obbligatos must be included and it must not be corrupted by any Gospel improvisation. If you sing it as he wrote it, it will be a great success, He had no objection to my taking the ending up. You may hear it on my website at eugenetsimpson.com.
