Jazz ensemble - Grade 4
SKU: LO.60-1305H
Composed by Fred Sturm. Jazz. Conductor's score. Heritage Music Press #60/1305H. Published by Heritage Music Press (LO.60-1305H).
UPC: 000308109818.
The unique polyphonic technique that Fred uses so well in many of his compositions really makes this new piece sparkle. After the opening section of intertwining, syncopated lines in the ensemble, the saxes take over with sustained brass harmonic underpinning. The wide dynamic contrasts that are integral to the piece and the focus on rhythmic independence between parts make "Aim High" an excellent festival selection.
