But it also contains some of Verdi's best arias and selections, including the duet AI NOSTRI MONTI (Home to our Mountains).
In a Spanish Castle's prison cell, Manrico (a troubadour, rebel army officer) is trying to comfort his mother Azucena as she believes she will be burned at the stake, as was her mother years before. Eventually, Manrico is successful and Azucena falls asleep.
This arrangement for British-style Brass Band features the Flugelhorn (as Azucena) and the Euphonium (as Manrico) as they sing (play) of their passion for and longing for their home in the mountains.
