"Ah, vous dirai-je, Maman" 9 Variations and Finale, Op. 90 Organ - Sheet Music

By Wolf Kalipp

This important variation cycle was written in the year of Schubert's death, 1828, by Rinck who had studied with the Bach pupil Kittel. The date of composition places it firmly in the organ repertoire of the Romantic period. It is particularly suitable as a light-hearted encore piece but can be equally rewarding as part of any concert programme or even in a liturgical context at Christmas time. This is now the only available edition of the work and is based on the first edition in the collection of the Hessische Landes- und Hochschulbibliothek Darmstadt.
