Agnus Dei 4-Part - Digital Sheet Music

Chorus Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.1799520

Composed by Eder Camuzis. This edition: pdf. A Cappella. 3 pages. Eder Camuzis #1359709. Published by Eder Camuzis (A0.1799520).

The Agnus Dei begins with parallel fifths between the basses and tenors and parallel fourths
between the sopranos and altos, reinforcing the text “Agnus Dei” and “Qui tollis peccata
mundi.” It then proceeds to an Adagio marked by a humble plea, made clear through the
suspension in the tenors. In the Andante, the entire musical discourse unfolds as a prayer,
followed by a calm and gentle interweaving of the harmony, like a plea for mercy,
culminating in a desire for peace, “Dona nobis pacem,” reinforced by the sopranos and
baritones. The closing prepares the new tempo, in which the music concludes with a
fortissimo in a major key.
