AFTER YOU'VE GONE, written almost one hundred years ago, has been performed and recorded by the most important blues and jazz musicians from the 1920s through the turn of the century. Even today it is still a standard played by some of the most famous jazz musicians. I have arranged this chart for a mini-big band (LBB) in a Latin groove instead of the traditional swing style. Even though it is Latin it still swings hard and the chord changes are great for soloing. It features the trumpet and sax but can feature anyone else in the group. It has a challenging stop-time tutti section with a drum solo. This is a great chart and will challenge everyone in the band, and the audience will love it. Style: Latin. Instrumentation: 2trumpets, 1trombone, A, T, B, G, piano (electric or fender), electric bass, and drums. Lead trumpet is a written C - two octaves above middle C.
