AFTER THE BALL IS OVER - Vocal & Piano Score

AFTER THE BALL IS OVER - Vocal & Piano Score4 versions are included with your purchase in the keys of : Bb major (original), Ab major, A major and G majorThis is my vocal and piano arrangement of Charles K. Harris' 1891 classic waltz, After the Ball is Over. After the Ball was America’s first true hit song. Back then, hits were measured by sheet music sales—and this one exploded, selling over five million copies. It became Tin Pan Alley’s biggest bestseller and helped launch the commercial pop music industry. The song gained major attention at the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair, thanks to performances by John Philip Sousa. Later featured in Show Boat, it tells a heartbreaking story of lost love caused by a tragic misunderstanding that lasts a lifetime. This arrangement includes the original lyrics of three verses and the famous chorus. For your convenience, I've included the vocal-piano score in its original key (Bb major) as well as 3 other lower keys (Ab, A and G major).
