Price (1887-1953) was the first major black female composer in music history. Her first symphony was premiered by the chicago symphony orchestra in 1933.
'Adoration' fits perfectly in church settings, it's sentimental melodies work for funerals as well as for weddings. It also gets performed in concert setting regularily. Felix Linsmeier arranged this piece for several different ensembles, this particular version was performed by major orchestras such as National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, Charlotte Symphony, Richmond Symphony or the Grand Rapids Symphony.
