Met dit werk heb ik getracht de diverse facetten van het hedendaagse leven op een abstracte manier weer te geven. Men zal er, afwisselend, de geestelijke en profane accenten - de nooit aflatende luidruchtige gejaagdheid, de electronisch-gestoorde samenleving, en af en toe de moderne romantiek van het einde van de 20ste eeuw in terugvinden. Mag ik bij deze mijn dank uitdrukken aan de dirigent en de musici voor hun enthousiasme en technische vaardigheid die vereist wordt bij de uitvoering van dit werk.Marcel Peeters

With this composition I have tried to reproduce, in an abstract way, the different aspects of the actual life. One will discover alternatively spiritual and secular aspects - the never ceasing boisterous agitation, the electronically disturbed society and, from time to time, the modern romanticism of the end of the twentieth century. I want to express my gratitude to the conductor and the musicians for their enthusiasm and technical dexterity which any performance of this composition fully requires.Marcel Peeters

Au moyen de cette composition, j'ai essayé d'exprimer de façon abstraite les différents aspects de la vie d'aujourd'hui. On y retrouvera alternativement les accents spirituels et profanes - l'incessante et bruyante nervosité, la société maniée par l'électronique et, de temps en temps, le romantisme moderne de cette fin du vingtième siècle. Mit dieser Komposition habe ich versucht um die verschiedenen Aspekte des heutigen Lebens auf abstrakter Weise wiederzugeben. In diesem Werk findet man abwechselnd die geistlichen und profanen Akzente - die niemals afhörende geräuschvolle Eile, die von der Elektronik gestörte Gesellschaft und, ab und zu, die moderne Romantik des Endes des 20. Jahrhunderts. Ich danke dem Dirigenten und den Musikern für ihren Enthusiasmus und ihre technische Geschicklichkeit die jene Ausführunge dieser Komposition bestimmt fordert.Marcel Peeters
