I wrote this meditative setting to honor my Aunt Alma, who recently celebrated her 101st birthday! In honor of this special occasion, there are 101 notes in the introduction prior to the hymn tune. And there are 102 notes of the ending, after the hymn tune, in hope for many blessings during her 102nd year on this earth. I hope this work can add a moment of peace during your service, whether as a gentle prelude, a meditative offertory, or a calm communion work.
