Nice arrangement
I was very impressed with this arrangement of what is known as O Christmas Tree in English-speaking circles. The sonorities and harmonies are very good and the voice leading is quite logical. With multiple verses male choir directors or groups could feature more than one soloist to share the limelight.

Lovely music for Christmas
I have recently been putting out feelers for new music to perform with my vocal trio of Tenor, Baritone and Bass voices. Since the 17th century there hasn't been an awful lot of that, as you can imagine, but my search brought me across this piece by Giovanni. I must say that is absolutely beautiful music, really warm and redolent of all that's best about Christmas. It has a lot in common with most of the great Christmas music of the past, including a strong melody and some glorious harmonies. A real shame that it is written for more voices than we have, otherwise I would have definitely included it in our Christmas programme. MTH
