Analyzing the structure of this piece simplifies it greatly. Only two triads are used in the accompaniment. They alternate in a basso ostinato format. The player can easily memorize the left hand allowing concentration on the very legato melody. Adventuresome players could also try "improvising" a melody using the left hand chord tones as a springboard for ideas.
