This arrangement of “A Thousand Years” for cello is abridged and is not intended to match up with the original recording. It is intended to be used for wedding processionals and other such situations in which the length of the song needs to be adjusted to match the time allotted for it. Sometimes this length of time is predetermined but does not match the time of the recorded version of the song, and sometimes it is determined in the moment as needed. I have two versions of this arrangement available. This one is the slightly easier one. It is in a lower octave, there are no double stops, and some of the rhythms are simplified.
