Composed by Jerry Gray. Arranged by Austin Ralphson. Film/TV,Jazz,Pop. 39 pages. Austin Ralphson #1909407. Published by Austin Ralphson (A0.563097)."A String of Pearls" is a 1941 song recorded by Glenn Miller and His Orchestra and is a big band and jazz standard. Bobby Hackett did the famous Trumpet solo in the Glenn Miller version of the song, and it was featured in the 1953 Glenn Miller biopic The Glenn Miller Story starring James Stewart. I have arranged it for saxophone ensemble here with optional drum kit, and it has been performed successfully many times in concert.
