Sinds enkele jaren is er een vruchtbare samenwerking tussen Andrew Pearce en Philip Cobb, solo-trompet van het London Symphony Orchestra. Zo ontstonden The Maestro en Interlude voor Cobbs album uit 2012. Daarna vroeg hij Pearce om een langzame melodie te schrijven voor zijn komende album, begeleid door de Central Band of the Royal Air Force, om zijn zachtere en expressievere kant op de bugel te laten horen. Dit zangerige, warme wiegeliedje weerspiegelt de nieuwe levensvreugde van de lente.

During the past few years, Andrew Pearce enjoyed a fruitful collaboration with Phillip Cobb, principal trumpet of the London Symphony Orchestra, composing such works as The Maestro and Interlude for his album in 2012. Later Cobb invited Pearce to compose a slow melody, accompanied by the Central Band of the Royal Air Force for Cobb’s upcoming album, displaying his softer, expressive side on flugelhorn. This song-like, warm lilting lullaby reflects on the joy of life.

Depuis quelques années il y a une collaboration fructueuse entre Andrew Pearce et Philip Cobb, trompette solo du London Symphony Orchestra. Comme ça sont nés The Maestro et Interlude pour l’album de Cobb en 2012. Puis il a demandé à Pearce d’écrire une mélodie lente pour son album suivant, accompagné par le Central Band of the Royal Air Force, pour exprimer son côté plus doux et lyrique sur le bugle. Cette berceuse mélodieuse et chaleureuse reflète la nouvelle joie de vivre du printemps.

Seit einigen Jahren arbeiten Andrew Pearce und Philip Cobb, Solo-Trompeter des London Symphony Orchestra, sehr kreativ zusammen. So entstanden 2012 die Stücke The Maestro und Interlude für Cobbs Album Songs from the Heart. Danach bat er Pearce, für das neue Album mit der Central Band of the Royal Air Force eine langsame Melodie zu schreiben, damit er auf dem Flügelhorn seine langsame und expressive Seite zeigen könne. Dieses gesangliche Wiegenlied spiegelt die aufkommende Lebensfreude des Frühlings wieder.
