Although mostly unison throughout, a creative two-part section near the beginning passes the melody back and forth from one group to the other. Both groups combine together for the majestic B section that ends with choir and congregation singing the first stanza of "O God, Our Help in Ages Past." Lectionary use: Lent 2 A; Proper 24 [29] C.
