Eric Swiggers (Deurne, 1968), momenteel dirigent van de Harmonie St. Caecilia Lieshout en de fanfare 'De Notenkrakers' Vorstenbosch, publiceerde reeds diverse interessante lichtere composities voor blaasorkest. Deze sprankelende ouverture werd gecomponeerd naar aanleiding van het 125 jarig bestaan van het harmonieorkest St. Caecilia uit Lieshout.

Eric Swiggers (Deurne, 1968) is currently conductor of the symphonic band 'Harmonie St Caecilia' of Lieshout and the fanfare band 'De Notenkrakers' (The Nutcrackers) of Vorstenbosch. He has composed quite some interesting pieces for wind band in the lighter vein. This sparkling overture was commissioned by the 'St Caecilia' band that Swiggers is conducting, for its 125th anniversary.

Er hat schon verschiedene leichte Kompositionen für Blasorchester geschrieben. Diese reizende Ouvertüre wurde anlässlich des 125. Geburtstagsfeiers des Harmonieorchesters St. Caecilia aus Lieshout komponiert.
